Kronberg im Taunus

Kronberg, a picturesque town on the southern slopes of the Taunus, is one of the most prominent residential areas in the Rhein-Main-Region, if not in entire Germany. Rich in history, host to the Kronberger Maler-Kolonie, home to people from all over the world: Kronberg is small, friendly, and cozy, blessed with the infrastructure and comfort fitting for a high class neighbourhood. It is “the place” where a community of local business and craftsmen and their families mingle with top executives of the Frankfurt financial community.

The Old Town

Known for its wonderful clean air and beautiful old town, Kronberg serves as Frankfurt’s recreational area. Restaurants, bars and shops as well as a vast amount of public markets throughout the year attract people from all over the region to spend quality time in this beautiful place. Seat to the last German Kaiser’s castle (the Friedrichshof) and dominated by the old Cronenburg Castle, Kronberg provides for wonderful green areas, a municipality park, its own golf course and one of Germany’s absolute high end hotels (Schlosshotel Kronberg).

Sports and more

Sports facilities, the open air swimming pool, ice skating on the Schillerweiher (only in cold winters) and a large number of clubs and activity groups provide options and opportunities for cultural and outdoor activities. Top medical service is also on-site: many top end clinics in Bad Homburg and Bad Soden are easy to reach. The center of Kronberg is just a stone throw away from the beautiful Taunus forests, large chestnut trees dating back to the ancient Romans who built the famous “limes” to ban the barbarians from the empire and feed their soldiers with roman chestnuts during the long winters. Its magnificent zoological garden “Opel” is a source for relaxing walks and is fun for old and young.

Education

A variety of kindergartens and schools (of all grades) offer sophisticated education to youngsters. And as the world capital of violoncello, the Kronberg Academy not only hosts and stages to the most exquisite violoncello concerts and festivals but renders top-class cello education through its well-known and prestigious Feuermann Conservatorium.

Conectivity

The infrastructure is excellent and traffic connections are easy, so the city centre of Frankfurt is accessible in just 25 minutes by train or car. Large shopping facilities are available less than 10km and Frankfurt Airport, our hub to the world, is not even 25 minutes (or, if you will, Euro 35) away.

In a nutshell

Kronberg is the ideal place for people who work in the city but love to live in a magnificent clean and healthy environment. With 18.000 inhabitants Kronberg is easy to navigate and get to know in a short time. However, many languages are spoken here and people from around the world appreciate this unique place.
